Before you book
Hair extension aftercare — the questions everyone asks.

Are extensions damaging?
Not when they’re installed, maintained, and cared for properly. Our signature nano bead method uses no glue, heat, or chemicals, and is designed with healthy hair in mind. The biggest risk isn’t the method..it’s skipping maintenance, neglecting aftercare or wearing extensions that your hair can’t safely support.
Can I have extensions if my hair is thin or fragile?
In many cases, yes. Nano beads are the smallest attachment system available, which is exactly why they suit fine and fragile hair. Every consultation is tailored to your hair, so we’ll recommend the safest approach based on what your natural hair can comfortably support.
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes, for all new extension clients. Your complimentary consultation allows us to assess your hair, discuss your goals, color match, and recommend the best method, length, texture and amount of hair for your desired result.
A $250 non-refundable deposit then secures your install and comes off your final total.
Can I still wear my hair up?
Absolutely. Ponytails, buns, half-up styles, and everyday updos are all possible. Very tight, high, or slicked-back hairstyles may reveal some attachment points, but for most day-to-day styles, your extensions will remain beautifully concealed.
I have very short hair — can I still get extensions?
You ideally need at least 8 inches of hair for proper attachment and blending. You may need to wear the set curly or styled at first. We'll tell you honestly at the consultation.
How long does the install take, and what's included?
Nano installs run 1.5–3.5 hours for an average head (3–5 bundles).
Every install includes color + texture matching, the full installation, a custom cut and blend, styling, a complimentary brush and beverage — plus a free adjustment visit within three weeks.
What can I actually get extensions for?
Whatever you're after — it's not all-or-nothing. Plenty of clients come in just for volume and fullness. Others want a pop of color without touching their natural hair: a few vivid or dimensional strands they can take out whenever they like. Some are after dramatic length, and just as many simply want to fill in thin or sparse sides. Face-framing pieces, a fuller ponytail, or a whole head of new length — big change or subtle, we build the set around your goal at the consultation.
The methods
The nano bead method.

What exactly are nano bead extensions?
A strand-by-strand method: small sections of your natural hair are threaded through a tiny bead about the size of a grain of rice, and the extension strand is clamped in place. No glue, no heat, no chemicals. The beads are copper-lined with or without a silicone insert — the smallest bead system to date, which is why nanos suit finer hair.
When do nanos need maintenance?
Every 6–8 weeks. We do a full removal, clean-up and reinstall each time — never just a push-up. Wavy and curly and very blonde clients usually need 6–7 weeks. Never skip or delay maintenance too long: it's the number-one cause of matting and damage.
I've lost a few strands since my install — normal?
Totally. Losing 2–12 pieces across a 6–8 week period is within the normal range, and nanos are reusable — keep any that slip and bring them to your maintenance appointment.
I have a metal allergy or an MRI coming up.
The nano tips are aluminium and the beads copper. If you have a genuine metal sensitivity, tell us at your consultation and we’ll assess whether nano beads are right for you. Extensions must be removed before an MRI; contact us as soon as you know your date.
The hair
What we fit.

What kind of hair do you use?
100% cuticle-intact, double-drawn, premium human remy hair — European and Asian depending on the texture you need. Never synthetic blends or non-remy. Straight, wavy and curly textures, all matched to your nano set.
What do "remy" and "double drawn" mean?
Remy is the finest grade of human hair: cuticles intact, strands running the same direction, which prevents tangling. Double-drawn means the shorter hairs are removed, so the bundle is full thickness root to tip instead of thinning at the ends.
How long does the hair last?
With proper care, nano bead hair lasts nine months to over a year — blondes slightly less. The single biggest factor in longevity is moisture.
What lengths + textures do you carry?
Nano beads are stocked in 20″ and 24″.
Custom lengths — 14″, 16″, 18″, 22″, 26″, 28″ — are available with order processing time; ask at your consult.
We have anywhere from loose wavy to coily curls!

How do I wash my hair with extensions in?
Keep your head upright, use sulfate- and paraben-free products, and keep conditioner away from the attachment points — it causes slippage. Always blow-dry the roots. Wash once or twice a week at most; dry shampoo carries you between.
How do I brush and sleep with them?
Daily brushing is non-negotiable: a loop, wet or soft-bristle brush, starting at the ends and working up while holding near the root. Sleep with hair completely dry, in a low loose braid or ponytail, on silk or satin. Never sleep on wet hair.
Can I color, tone or use purple shampoo?
Toning, glossing and going darker are safe; bleaching or lightening extensions is not. For highlights we remove the set, color your natural hair, then reinstall — Kristen, our in-haus colorist, is trained to work around extensions. Purple shampoo: dilute it, strand-test, mid-lengths and ends only, never near the bonds.
Why do blondes turn pink, orange or green — and how do I fix it?
Blonde extensions are porous, like a sponge. Chemical sunscreens (avobenzone, oxybenzone) are the number-one cause of pink and orange staining; chlorine turns hair green; hard water, UV and perfume all contribute. Prevention: mineral sunscreen only, a shower filter, leave-in conditioner before swimming — or keep the set out of the water entirely.
Fixes, in order: a Malibu C treatment in salon, a diluted apple-cider-vinegar soak, then a professional toner. Some color changes are irreversible — we're not responsible for discoloration caused by products or lifestyle outside the salon.
What products should I avoid?
Sulfates, parabens, heavy silicones and waxes, protein and bond-builders, hidden alcohols, and argan or coconut oil on blondes. Everything you actually need is stocked at the studio — grab yours at your appointment.
What are the white bulbs at my beads?
Telogen bulbs — natural shed hairs. You shed 50–150 hairs a day; with extensions in, they stay caught at the bead instead of falling away. It is not breakage.

Aftercare guides
The golden rules.
Your personalized aftercare guide comes emailed with every installation. These are the essentials that never change.
Nano beads
Gentle is the job
Brush daily, wash 1–2× a week, blow-dry the beads, maintenance every 6–8 weeks. Never remove your own extensions.
Wavy + curly
Moisture = life
Detangle in the shower with conditioner, never brush dry. Leave-in, curl cream, mousse — scrunch, air dry or diffuse low.
Summer
Mineral sunscreen only
Chemical sunscreens permanently stain extensions pink or orange. Hat on, leave-in before swimming, rinse and dry after.
